All recently refurbished in different styles and all sizes. State- of-the- art bathrooms with showers. The rooms are small and this is reflected in the price. Two of the smallest rooms have sea views which is why we have kept them. One of these has access to the balcony on the 1st floor. They're all decorated differently, again with small extra touches. Two rooms have wonderful sea views. One has views over the town and Ferry terminal.
Twin bedded room with no sea view. Room 9 has interesting, unusual bathroom, like a garden shed - not for the conventional!
Individually styled double en suites, all have sea views. One has 4 Poster bed. One has access to balcony. The rooms have been carefully designed with lots of little touches to make them less like hotel rooms. Wonderful views overlooking Dovercourt Bay.
Room 6 is a family room, with pine ingeniously used to maximise the available space. The shower room in this case has fittings in clear plastic with brightly coloured fish embedded. They are imported from Australia and add a cheerful, novelty touch.
Room 12 is small and does not have a sea view. The room is great for those seeking peace and quiet. Recently refurbished, the room will appeal to lovers of stylish design, with its flamboyant Sanderson wallpaper, its marble dressing table and its sleek, Cubist bathroom furniture on slate tiles. The room has a walk-in wardrobe.
Room 5, 1st floor with balcony. Quiet but sophisticated decor, wood-panelled in an Art Deco style, with lilac furnishings and unique craftsman-made furniture. There is a small area with a table and 2 single sofa beds for sitting in. The bed has a curtain that you can pull round for privacy if using the sofa beds. The bathroom is a riot of colour reminiscent of the film Moulin Rouge. Modern suite containing whirlpool bath. Room 7, 17 feet by 13 feet, is a corner room with windows all-round, giving a panoramic view of the North Sea. It has a four-poster bed. Centrally heated with additional fireplace. Private bathroom with modern suite, consisting of a toilet, bidet, basin and airbath with overhead shower.
Ours is an unpretentious, informal atmosphere, with fully-licensed and well stocked, busy bar. Brewery- conditioned and real ales, premium lagers, wines, all spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks.
Restaurant with food for all tastes cooked to order. Recently extended. Able to take 50 covers. We have recently appointed a highly qualified chef who is proving very popular. He makes everything on the premises and makes the most delectable stocks and sauces.
